DIRECTIONS
The main route to and from the Redwood Coast is U.S. Highway
101 which parallels—and in Humboldt County, touches—the
Pacific Ocean. Further inland, Interstate 5 takes you up
California's central valley, and provides access to the
coast via Highway 299 at Redding and Highway 199 at Grants
Pass, Oregon.
The
Eureka/Arcata airport is served by two air carriers, United
Express & Horizon Air, with daily flights from San Francisco,
Sacramento, Los Angeles and Portland. The airport is located
in the town of McKinleyville, 12 miles north of Eureka.
